You piece of ....

That's what somebody called me after I commented how children are a gift from the Lord as a reaction to an article arguing for the legalization of abortion in our country. The post had more reactions in favor of it and its advocates went after people like me. The following are those that survived FB's filtering.

great, you can take care of the orphans that were given up by their parents due to economic incapacity

So it's better to kill them instead? It's better to make killers out of the parents? There are people who are adopting, especially those who have been waiting for that elusive gift.

di pa ready ang peelipins sa ganitong issue hahaha anlilinis eh

And may we never be ready. Better to be mocked for being "anlilinis" than be dirtied by the blood of the innocent.

but why some children are given up in the orphanage?

Better to give them up for adoption than to kill them.

Why those gifts have to suffer poverty and hunger?

Do we then kill all those who are alive now because they are suffering from poverty and hunger?

So you're telling me that Hitler and Xi Jinping are gifts from God?

Perhaps their parents felt that way when they learned they were pregnant. How do we know what gifts would end up like Hitler? I'm sure baby Hitler did not come out of his mother's uterus with a Nazi salute. If we fear all babies will be another madman, then who will survive today?

Pati po ba ipinagbubuntis ng biktima ng rape regalo din ng Dyos?

As much as the circumstances are heinous, the baby is as innocent as the victim. Do we have statistics on how many of the illegal abortions made in our country was a result of rape? The same study cited by the post listed the reasons why Filipinas abort but none mentioned about being raped.

So regalo din ba ng Dyos sa kanila na na rape sila?

What Diyos are you talking about? That's not the God of the Bible.

tanginang gods will yan

The church should step up not only to voice its objection towards legalizing abortion but to help people understand who God really is. But I fear that our credibility has suffered a major dent with our proud fist bump. One comment-er denounced the hypocrisy of being pro-life yet are pro-EJK.

We, the church, have to ask for forgiveness not only from God but from society. We have failed so much the people whom God has called to be salt and light to. Instead of pointing an accusing finger at the advocates crying, "Shame on you!" let us turn it around to join the three fingers pointing back at us and cry, "Shame on us for bringing shame to the gospel."

then adopt a children you piece of sh*t

I can teach you Kindergarten grammar if you want.

At a time when EJK and COVID are killing our people, let us not add to the statistics with mothers and fathers killing their own while the umbilical cord is still attached. No to abortion. Never to killing God’s gifts.
