THEY IS COMING

A Spanish politician was suspended temporarily by Tweeter for saying that men cannot get pregnant. “Twitter argued (that the)…tweet was in violation of its policies against content that threatens, harasses, or fosters violence against others based on their race, ethnic origin, nationality, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, religion, age, disability, or disease.”

A Scottish law student is facing disciplinary action for saying that women have vaginas and men are physically stronger than women.

Train conductors in the UK and Japan Airlines are no longer allowed to say “ladies and gentlemen” to avoid offending those who identify as non-binary (what that means, I don’t really know).

I am feeling nostalgic when science was the end-all-be-all to the point that it was used as an excuse to reject Christianity.

If you think it’s only abroad that such topsy-turvy shaking in Kindergarten Science is happening, a transgender woman took to the Internet alleging discrimination when a resort in Davao del Norte prohibited him (yes, him) from using the ladies’ room (reminiscent of the Gretchen bathroom issue pre-pandemic.) In response, one tweeted, “Our existence should not be based on what’s in between our legs.” Know what? I agree.

The basis of who we are in is not found in-between our legs but between the pages of Genesis and Revelation. Not what you say, not what I say, not what he says, she says, it says, they say and says (because they is supposed to be singular as well nowadays) but what God alone says and He says He created us male and female (Gen. 5:2). We may have our own assumed gender identities and sexual preferences but it doesn’t change the fact that we were born either male or female. Let God be true and every man a liar. (Romans 3:4, BRB)

Don’t think that the church is safe from the volatility in science and grammar. Churches in the States have affirmed their “commitment to the full equality, inclusion and acceptance of people of all gender identities and gender expressions.” Yes, we are for welcoming them but they (as in plural), like the rest of us, cannot remain as is when confronted by the holiness of God. All of us need to be born again (John 3:3)---male and female, straight or gay for we are all sinners (Rom 3:23).

Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord:
though your sins are like scarlet,
    they shall be as white as snow;
though they are red like crimson,
    they shall become like wool.

    Isaiah 1:8, ESV
