THE ULTIMATE BACK TO REALITY

Once again, I found myself with an unexpected access to an airport lounge and it gets even better.

When I saw the lounge from the entrance, I was a bit dismayed seeing how noisy and crowded it was inside. But since there's free buffet, I went in but was turned away. The receptionist said my privilege was for the premium lounge with fewer people and a quiet library ambience.

On the train to the airport, I overheard first-time Pinoy HK travelers marveling at the city state but lamenting how fast their well-earned money ran out.

"Yun limang libo namin, naubos sa isang araw!"
"$38 para lang sa juice?!"
"HK$200 taxi namin!"

But there was no regret as one sighed, "Back to reality."

Holiday trips truly are a break from reality. No matter how long or enjoyable they may be, there is reality that awaits us. Our earthly life is like that. No matter how enjoyable or how long it may be, there is a "more real" reality that awaits all of us as life here is temporal with a shelf life and an expiration date. We all must go back to reality and face the Divine and Holy Judge and answer what have we done to His offer of salvation by faith (and faith alone, no good works) through grace.

Have we accepted Jesus Christ as our Savior and gain the password to an eternal residence in heaven? If so, we can look forward to going "back to reality." If not, I pray that you will do so now as going through the lake of fire with no end in sight is not what I would wish for my worst enemy. There is no surprise access to heaven if we have not made a decision for Christ on earth.
