THE GOSPEL IN KUNG FU PANDA
SPOILER ALERT
COME BACK AFTER WATCHING THE MOVIE
At the end of "Kung Fu Panda 4," all of the powers of Po's "nemesis, nemesises, nemesi..." came into one being who was still defeated by the Dragon Warrior. If being vanquished by Kung Fu Panda before did not impress the villains, he earned their respect this time around. They all put their hands on their heart and bowed to him as they quietly went back to the spirit realm one by one.
The scene reminded me of Philippians 2:10, " so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth," (ESV).
Whether we acknowledge Jesus is Christ or not, all of us---from believers to atheists and everybody in between---will one day bow down on our knees and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. Some of us will gladly shout, "Yes, Hallelujah!" while others will be horrified at how they rejected The Truth while on earth.
In KFP4, the villains may have acknowledged the Dragon Warrior but that did not save them from reentering the spirit realm. I don't know what lay ahead as I didn't see 2 & 3. I barely remember 1. If being in there was punishment for their earthly misdeed, they still had to serve their sentence after bowing. It is the same way for those who will confess that Jesus is Lord a breath too late and must face eternal separation from God.
Friend, don't be one of them who will forever regret rejecting The Way, The Truth, and The Life. Confess your sins right now and accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, and shout hallelujah with me on Judgment Day.
