Arnold Schwarzenegger doesn't believe in heaven so we will not see each other again after death. His idea of heaven is keeping a person in his memory. What happens when we breathe our last? “Nothing. You’re 6 feet under. Anyone that tells you something else is a f---g liar.”

 

“We don’t know what happens with the soul and all this spiritual stuff that I’m not an expert in, but I know that the body as we see each other now, we will never see each other again like that. Except in some fantasy.”

 

I have never been one to just take somebody at their say-so. It’s the skeptic and the journalism graduate in me. I always check the source and how credible is s/he. I may listen to Arnie about moviemaking, muscle-building, and how to be a Republican but like he said himself, he is not an expert in “all this spiritual stuff.” And because he’s not, we should not base our eternal destiny on him. Instead, we should listen to Someone who claim to do know “all this spiritual stuff” because He existed even before the beginning of time (John 1:1), conquered death (Rom. 6:1-11), and is now seated on the right hand of the Father in heaven (Col. 3:1). And that One said heaven AND hell are real. Because we are all sinners, we are all destined to hell, away from the holy presence of God BUT we can be in heaven (not just in somebody’s memory) by repenting and accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior.
