Strawberries are flowers
Did you know strawberries are actually flowers?
...that nuts are fruits?
...and that wheat is a fruit?
This jaw-dropping realization that almost makes me want to demand a refund from my Science teachers, made me reflect on how people are.
They may look one thing, and we presuppose we know their origin stories until---that is, if we ever bother---we take the time to get to know them. (Of course, the revelation can go either way; it's not always a pleasant surprise.)
But I am also reminded of the transformation that God brings about on His children. We see their lives now and we can't believe how they were before accepting Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
It's actually not hard to believe that God can turn the worst of sinners into His most obedient followers. After all, if God, the creator of plants and fruits, can amaze us with their botanical transformation, how much more us who are made in His image?
