PLANNERS AND THE PLANNER

It's that time of year when planners are out in full display while some establishments try to cash in with their free planner after drowning your system with caffeine and sugar.

Planners have never worked for me as they are either too small to jot down everything or too cumbersome to be lugging it around. That's why I was happy to discover Google Calendar. It's making me wonder why people would still buy when they can plan for free and so conveniently. I don't need to write repeated tasks week in and week, month in and month out. I also don't have to erase items and write them again on another date, thus messing up the pages. I love pages to look neat and clean, easy to distinguish what is urgent and what is important but I do not care to carry with me all kinds of colored pens or tabs that will lose their stickiness and mess up my system when Plan B, C, or D are needed.

Good thing that God doesn't need a planner as He is THE Planner. He has everything planned out that no one but no one can change, cancel, or postpone. What He has set out will be carried out as scheduled.

God never says, "Oops" or "Oh no!" He is never caught unaware or by surprise by anyone or anything. He never calls the Trinity for an emergency meeting or needs to consult anyone else for damage control.

God has no need to erase and transfer. He does not have or has a need for Plan B to Z. There is only Plan A and it is the perfect plan (Ps. 33:11).

That perfect plan also includes His desire that you accept His plan of salvation by becoming born again by repenting of your sins and accepting Jesus as Your Lord and Savior. Don't plan to do it one day soon, but do it now and see His perfect plan unfold for the rest of your days on this side of heaven.
