Pop culture parodies of The Last Supper are done within their own context, not at an event where the world comes together in sportsmanship and harmony. Surely, you knew it will offend some of your guests? If you didn't, then who is uneducated, as some defenders are calling us?

KONTI LANG NAMAN SILA

Some pooh-pooh the outcry claiming it's just a super-minority but during these times of remembering and including everybody esp the minority, why make an exception to us and those who find offense on our behalf?

BOBO

At a time when we constantly tell each to be kind to one another, you mock our intellect just because we believe in the God of the Bible. History is replete with Christians who are known for their intellectual contributions to civilization. But if you still want to believe we have a lower IQ than yours, then so be it. Better to be bobo than bastos.

NARROW-MINDED

There are instances where you have to be narrow and not accept those that go against your core beliefs. I am broad-minded in knowing that there are people who will not share my beliefs but I need to be narrow-minded in my journey. As the Good Teacher said, “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.” (Mt. 7:13-14 NIV) I cannot and should not accept everything as I will end up schizophrenic.

LIMITED WORLDVIEW LENS

Some criticize us for having a limited worldview lens. Of course, we will view the world with a Christian lens in the same way other faiths will view their world with their religious lens. You view the world with your secularism and know what? I am broad-minded enough to know and accept that. I will not go out of my way to invite you to a party at my home and insult your secular views and claim to have a Greek mythological basis.

RESEARCH-RESEARCH LANG

Some hide behind the argument that it is not the Lord's Supper but based on Greek mythology. Be that as it may, it does not discount the fact that an image can have varied and subjective interpretations. Defenders call it art. I will not contend with that as art is subjective but don't pretend there can only be one interpretation while you mock us.

TURN THE OTHER CHEEK

The most we, Christians, can do is pray as our Lord Jesus did hours later after the Last Supper, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” (Luke 23:34) and turn the other cheek.
