I have yet to watch a single video about pranking someone but I often see it as a caption. I wonder if they are indeed funny or if the creator doesn't care for as long as s/he gets the views and the monetary gain, if applicable.

 

Pranks have long existed even before it became content for social media. In fact, it existed even before earth was created when Satan who was then the most beautiful angel called Lucifer who said to himself, "I will ascend to heaven and set my throne above God’s stars. I will preside on the mountain of the gods far away in the north. I will climb to the highest heavens and be like the Most High." (Isa. 14:13-14 NLT) He was then quickly humbled by the OG MOST HIGH who kicked him out of heaven together with 1/3 of the angels who believed in the delusions (Rev. 12:3-4). "It's a prank!" he must have said to the deceived angels who are now called by a better name---demons.

 

"It's a prank!" the devil disguised as the serpent in the Garden of Eden must have said when he deceived Eve and Adam just followed along even though he knew better (1 Tim. 2:14). Humankind has been cursed ever since because Satan's successful prank  automatically sends us to hell but Jesus died on the cross to stop the curse of the prank. We can change our original eternal destiny to heaven if we admit that we are sinners, pray to God for forgiveness, and accept Jesus as the only way to heaven (John 14:6). Anything beyond is a prank by the greatest prankster who is determined to bring as many pranked souls with him into the lake of fire. Do not be one of them.
