INFINITELY MORE POWERFUL THAN THE CASTLE

I have never read Kafka's The Castle; I have never even heard of it until I came across this article talking about how an artist used the book for an art installation.

The Castle purportedly shows the monumental power of a single idea, so the artist created a literal demonstration.

Yes, a single idea can have monumental power (for good or bad) but I think---no, I believe that there's a more powerful book that preceded The Castle and I can say without being presumptuous that more people have heard of it than Kafka's work---the Bible.

In the installation, The Castle was just one of the many that formed the foundation. But if we were to literally demonstrate the power of the Word, the Bible and the Bible alone will be at the bottom with bricks and boulders balancing on it, like an inverted pyramid. I would even use a pocket Bible to show its metaphorical power. Everything in this world is dependent on it, as all things are sustained by His powerful Word. (Heb. 1:3).

Blessed is s/he who reads the Word and listens to what is written in it. (Rev. 1:3)
