DIANA & JESUS
Some people would have nothing to do with King Charles if only because of what he "did to Diana." It doesn't matter to them the accomplishments Prince William narrated in his speech nor that there hasn't been a hint of scandal since he made a "respectable" woman out of the now queen.
Oddly enough, it reminds me of how God is towards our accomplishments and morality (in short, good works). As far as He is concerned, all that matters to Him is what we do (or did) with Jesus' offer of salvation by grace. Have we accepted the free gift of eternal life?
God will never be impressed with our righteousness in the same way we will not be when someone gives us filthy rags or used basahan. We will be insulted and perhaps unfriend the giver in and out of social media. In the eyes of a holy God, our righteousness is as filthy rags which are not even fit to rub the heavenly door handles of God's pearly gates.
