CTTO

A friend and I debated on the merits of citing sources on social media. As a writer trained in journalism, I try to cite whenever I can while my friend said CTTO will do in social media.

There is a legal danger to CTTO-ing but for the creatives industry, CTTO is a sign of respect. For some, it's not even enough to cite them as the originator but they must also be tagged. And most do not appreciate sharing their work without clicking the "share" button.
This reminds me of how CTTO is doing God a huge disservice. People have been CTTO-ing when it comes to the beauty of nature and the universe. They either say there's no one to credit it to or they attribute it to "Mother" when it was the Father's hand that created it (Gen. 1:1) while Jesus' hand sustains it (Heb. 1:1-4).

And then there are some who CTTO themselves for their success or quality of life when God could just snap His fingers and choke us all to death by withholding oxygen from us.

We also have people who credit salvation to themselves or others when it's Jesus alone who can save us (John 3:16).

CTTO-ing creative works, at worst, is disrespectful to their creator and may lead to lawsuits but CTTO-ing the works of God not only disrespects THE Creator but is deceptive as it makes people forget God to whom everyone must stand before on Judgment Day (2 Cor. 5:10).
