BS
The divorce bill has people all shook up presenting their ayes and nays. One argument that has caught my attention is how the ayes are telling the nays not to impose their religious beliefs on them. And that’s the thing. Where else would one’s conviction arise but their belief system? We are what our belief system is. And if it just so happens it is mostly based on faith, then so be it in the same way some base it on their feelings, philosophy, or what their leader says.
Telling people to stop imposing their religious beliefs on issues that matter to them is the same as telling people to stop being themselves. Their faith is their core being. Akala ko ba be true and authentic?
These people who tell others to stop imposing their religious belief system on society are themselves imposing their own belief system (other-religious, secular, or humanistic) on others. It’s like those who call people judgmental while rendering judgment on people they’re calling judgmental. (Are you still with me?) Pray, who made your BS the standard?
